  • Scruples Blazing Highlights and Color System Aluminum Foils with 400Pack of 10"" x 4"" pre-cut sheets.
  • Please follow manufacturer's packaged instructions.

    1. Gather all the materials needed, put on rubber gloves, and mix the color. Perform a test strand in an area of the head that will not be obvious like under the back of the head. Time the test strand until you achieve the color you want. Note the time it took for your hair to achieve the correct color and this will be how long you leave your coloring on the entire head to achieve ultimate coverage. If you are using more than one color (if you want both highlights and low lights) mix both colors in different bowls. Part the hair into 4 sections. You should divide the front half into 2 sections and the back half into 2 sections.

    2. Part off a small section of one partition into 1/8"" strand. Now weave the end of your rat tail comb up and down through the strand and separate the ups from the downs. You can make these as wide or as narrow as you like. The narrower the strands, the more highlights and low lights you will have. The wider the strands, the less you will have.

    3. Pick up a foil and place it under the strand to be colored. Now put your coloring on the strand sparingly. Brush it all the way to the ends beginning at the scalp. Once you have brushed it on the strand, fold up the ends of the hair (if it is long hair) so it will be covered by the foil when folded. Now fold up the bottom of the foil one time. Foil in the sides, and continue folding up from the bottom until the foil is at the scalp.

    4. Continue this procedure alternating colors as you go for both highlights and low lights until all hair is ready for timing. Time your process by paying close attention to the clock and do not allow color to remain on hair longer than the test strand time.

Remove the foils from your hair and rinse thoroughly. Now shampoo and condition as usual. Towel dry and style normally.
