Design Essentials® STS EXPRESS Smoothing System Cleansing Sulfate-Free Shampoo - Step 1 is a gentle cleanser that removes impurities from the hair and scalp without stripping essential oils and nutrients from the hair. Infused with Biotin, this nourishing shampoo prepares the hair to absorb additional moisture and nutrients from Design Essentials® STS EXPRESS Smoothing and Strengthening treatment.

When used as a cleansing shampoo

1. Shampoo hair with STS EXPRESS Cleansing Sulfate-Free Shampoo. Repeat 2-3 times.
2. Follow with any Design Essentials® Conditioner depending on hair type and hair need.

When used within the STS EXPRESS Smoothing System

1. Shampoo hair with STS EXPRESS Cleansing Sulfate-Free Shampoo. Repeat 2-3 times.
2. Treat hair with STS EXPRESS Smoothing Mousse. See the back of STS Max Smoothing Mousse for detailed instructions.
3. Spray the STS EXPRESS Thermal Therapy Leave-In Sealant throughout hair to remove any residue and seal in treatment.
4. Blow dry hair from roots to ends until completely dry and style as desired.

When used within STS EXPRESS Strengthening Treatment

1. Shampoo hair with STS EXPRESS Cleansing Sulfate-Free Shampoo. Repeat 2-3 times.
2. Treat hair with STS EXPRESS Damage Recovery Anti-Breakage Treatment. For optimal results, part hair into four quadrants. Spray the treatment evenly throughout each quadrant. DO NOT SATURATE.
3. Spray the STS EXPRESS Thermal Therapy Leave-In Sealant throughout hair to remove any residue and seal in treatment.
