The Blonde Spectrum
From a sun-kissed look to platinum blonde and everything in between – there is a wide range of services to offer at varying price points to have a successful blonding business this season. Consultation is key. Making a brunette blonde is a transformation, and the time and expertise to achieve this should be charged for accordingly. Make sure the client understands the maintenance required for her desired look. She may need to come in every 3-4 weeks to address new growth, or every 5-6 weeks for a retouch or refresh.
At Home Care
The same season to go blonde is the same time at home maintenance needs are at their peak. Chemicals used during the lightening process leave the hair susceptible to UV damage and color fading. Your professional recommendation is key to keeping your client happy until her next service and coming back to your salon. She just spent a lot of time and money at the salon to achieve her look. Explain you simply can’t let her wash it down the drain by using the wrong shampoo!
